Borehole water supply for rural communities
Three-phase 4-inch and 6-inch stainless steel borehole pumps feeding elevated tanks for community tap stands.

The challenge
An NGO water programme needed reliable borehole pumps for community water points across scattered villages. Wells were deep, water contained fine sand, and local technicians needed pumps that could be serviced with common tools.
Our solution
We recommended 4SDM and 6SP stainless steel multistage pumps with floating impeller stages for sand tolerance and rewindable motors. Pumps were supplied with drop cable, control panels with phase-failure and dry-run protection, and a stock of spare stages and mechanical seals.
The result
The pumps fill elevated tanks during the day so tap stands provide water around the clock. Standardising on two pump frames reduced the spare parts list and simplified technician training.
