Divide the pool volume by the desired turnover time (usually 6–8 hours) to get the required flow, then choose a pump that delivers that flow at your system head of roughly 8–15 m.
Are variable speed pool pumps worth it?
Usually yes. Pump power falls with the cube of speed, so running longer at reduced speed can cut filtration energy by 50–70%.
Can your pool pumps handle salt water?
